Officials give green light to Butler addition
The addition will allow people outside to view artwork on display inside.

YOUNGSTOWN -
Officials have given the green light to an addition at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown.
The addition will be added to its existing building on Wick Avenue.
The main feature of the multi-story, 1,380 square foot addition is glass covering 95% of the front of the building. It will allow people on the outside to look through and view artwork on display inside.
Plans call for the construction of curved steps in the front, which would provide access to the addition as well as the existing museum.
Butler officials say more details on the plans are forthcoming.
