WARREN, Ohio - Detectives are working to learn more about how a Warren man got shot in the leg over the weekend.

A patrol car was dispatched to an address on the 200 block of Lane SW just before 1 a.m. Saturday after neighbors reported seeing a car driving away from the home after hearing several gunshots.

Police found a similar car at a gas station on South Street and discovered the 33-year-old driver had been shot in the leg.

Officers found a shell casing in the car and several shell casings at the Lane SW home.

The shooting victim was taken to Trumbull Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment.

Police are still investigating.
