NILES, Ohio - After a major announcement from one of Sharon's oldest retailers, Eastwood Mall executives have released more information on what the new Reyers location will look like.
Reyers' owners Mark and Steve Jubelirer told 21 News Monday that in order to sustain their business, they had to find a place that had a good amount of foot and car traffic.
After 135 years, the popular shoe store will set up shop in a nearly 14,000 square foot space in the JCPenney Concourse.
A grand opening is planned for sometime this summer, with the owners telling 21 News they hope to be up and running by August first.
Reyers was originally founded in 1886 by German immigrant John Reyer, a cobbler.
John later handed down the little shop to his son Carl and in the early 1950's, he sold the store to the Jubelirer family from Pittsburgh.
Harry Jubelirer, his sons and dedicated staff built the store and made it what it is today.
Reyers has also been named one of the best shoe stores in the world.
Reyers is inviting every one of its customers from Sharon to come and enjoy the new location when it opens.
