Reyers moving out of Shenango Valley, coming to Eastwood Mall

SHARON, Pa. - One of the Valley's oldest shoe stores will leave its century-old location in the Shenango Valley.
Reyers Shoe Store is currently located on Water Street in Sharon and has stood there for 135 years.
According to Mark and Steve Jubelirer, who are the pair of brothers who own the business, they are now headed to the Mahoning Valley to set up shop in the Eastwood Mall.
Mark said the reason for the move is for them to get increased foot and car traffic.
He said they spent a long time looking at Downtown Sharon and other areas in the Shenango Valley to help sustain their business, but after more research, they wanted to bring the store to Ohio.
Being the third generation of owners of the business, Mark said he and his brother are not ready to retire and leave the business.
"This is not even work for us, this is a hobby," said Jubelirer. "We're doing this to sustain the legacy our father started."
Mark said they were lucky enough to keep all of their employees when the pandemic started and are able to bring all of them over to the new location.
He said they are even looking for 12 more spots to fill on their team.
If you are interested, call the store at 724-981-2200 and ask for a manager.
Mark said they plan to officially open up at the Eastwood Mall come August first of this year.
Eastwood Mall spokesperson Joe Bell says Reyers will occupy 14,000 square feet of space in the JCPenney concourse. He says they're thrilled to have Reyers, and they're so well recognized throughout the area. He adds more information is expected to be released Tuesday.
