WARREN, Ohio - An investigation continues after gunfire in two Warren neighborhoods forced people to duck for cover.

Bullets pierced through homes with victims saying they're thankful no one got hit.

Kayla Adams who lives on Arlington Avenue NW on Warren's west side heard shots fired down the street around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Shortly after she heard 5 more shots as bullets pierced her homes walls in this normally quiet neighborhood.

"Two entered the living room where my nephew fell asleep on the couch, it was really frightening. One bullet was found in my Ferret's cage," said Adams.

The bullets shattered her sense of safety, as she checked on her children grateful they were safe.

"My kids could have been hit, I could have been hit. Love everybody when you can, you near know, you never know when it's your time, your loved ones time," emphasized Adams.

Police say a white SUV drove by the area before shots were fired but the license plate was not visible.

An unknown man walking down the sidewalk could have been the intended target in this crime on the city's North side.

Tuesday One day earlier around 2:30 pm on the west of town there was more gunfire, more fear.

In the 3200 block of Clearwater street northwest, a homeowner, his wife and son dropped to the ground after hearing multiple shots being fired.

Warren police collected several shell casings from different guns and a rifle.

A man was in the driveway near the silver van when someone fired shots and the unknown man returned fire. Bullets struck the van 3 times, and were found inside a living room and a bedroom closet at the house on Clearwater.

Police collected 5 shell casings in another driveway next door, one bullet just inches away from the doorbell.
