YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Two local organizations will receive grant money after Enterprise Holdings, who runs several car rentals such as Enterprise and Alamo, awarded $93,000 to Northern Ohio nonprofits to address gaps in social and racial equity.

Out of hundreds of nominations by Enterprise employees for what nonprofits should receive the grants, 11 recipients were in Northern Ohio.

Two of the recipients are right here in the Valley.

The YWCA of Mahoning Valley and the Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown will receive the money as part of Enterprise Holdings' 'ROAD Forward' initiative, where over 5 years the company will give $55 million out to different communities, with a focus in three areas: early childhood development, youth health and wellness, and career and college preparation.

The YWCA of Mahoning Valley was awarded $7,500. The Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown will receive $5,000.
