Youngstown 2nd Ward ARP listening session set Tuesday night
YOUNGSTOWN - People who live and operate businesses in Youngstown’s Second Ward are being given an opportunity to say how they think the city should spend some of the nearly $83 million in American Rescue Plan funds from the federal government.
A listening session is scheduled with Second Ward Councilman Jimmy Hughes at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, at the McGuffey Associate Neighborhood Center, 1649 Jacobs Rd.
Youngstown City Council members have been holding the sessions for residents and neighborhood groups to discuss their priorities for the city’s ARP allocations.
Printed surveys will be available for attendees to complete. Data gathered from these efforts will be used to help the city plan use of the funding.
The City received the first half of the allocation in May and expects to receive the second allocation next year.
A summit for seniors and youth will be announced in the coming weeks.
