COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio - St. Jude Catholic Church, Columbiana and Our Lady of Lourdes of East Palestine are holding a bed build event with the Columbiana chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Columbiana chapter sleep in heavenly peace goes throughout communities to get organizations to help build beds for kids in the area who do not have beds to sleep on.

Beds are built for kids ages 3 and 17, it doesn't matter your economic background, Sleep in Heavenly Peace will bring you a bed with a matrass with sheets, pillows and everything set up to go.

Their motto is "No kids sleeps on the floor in our town"

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a national non-profit organization that was originally founded in Idaho, in 2012. The organization has been spreading across the country, and began in Mahoning County and moved into Columbiana County.

Junior Harr, President of the Columbiana chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace  worked with Bill Flesse, Jacob Rhodes and Marina Papania of Our Lady of Lourdes council in East Palestine to organize the event.

"Both communities, East Palestine and Columbiana have come together and helped us out tremendously. We couldn't have done it without them or the volunteers," says Flesse of Our Lady of Lourdes.

They currently have collected enough materials to make 103 beds, and their goal is to make 200 beds.
