BOARDMAN, Ohio - Thousands of people spent their Sunday searching for fall and holiday decorations at the Boardman Rotary Oktoberfest.

They got to browse and buy from more than 150 vendors from five states.

Craftspersons showed off their creativity and skills making everything from jewelry, wreaths along with lawn and door decor.

For sisters Tracy Forletta, Barb Baxter, and Cindy Dombeck, this event is a yearly tradition.

"We reserve it, and we come there every year. 36 years now, and we are looking for things like this, some fresh new ideas for our house when we come. I need a wreathe so I am going to be looking for a wreath as well. It's really into the season. We've bought some great things. We like the atmosphere. It's so much fun to come and see the different vendors, the new things that are out, " said Barb Baxter.

Several food vendors meant folks could enjoy some lunch or dinner while they shopped.

Money raised at Boardman Rotary's biggest fundraiser for the year helps support more than two dozen local nonprofits including Easter Seals, Beatitude House, Salvation Army, and the YWCA.
