YOUNGSTOWN - One of fourteen men arrested last Fall in a human trafficking sting in Mahoning County will spend the holidays in a jail cell.

Youssef Jabaly, 28, of Sylvania, Ohio has started serving a 120-day sentence in the Mahoning County Jail.

Jabaly, who pleaded guilty last month to charges of importuning, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and possessing criminal tools, will also have to register as a Tier Two Sex Offender. He was sentenced on Tuesday.

According to Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Jabaly was among 177 people arrested a year ago as part of a statewide human trafficking operation dubbed “Operation Autumn Hope.”

As part of that operation, Yost said that federal, state, and local law enforcement had rescued 109 human trafficking victims, including 45 children.
