AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - At more than 24,000 square feet, the new Goodwill Store in Austintown is nearly twice the size of the old location and one of the largest in the Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries network.

"It gives us a bigger space to work with along with reaching our customer base more in this plaza and being able to create more jobs and a visual representation as well," said Hannah Telesc, Marketing and Relationship Coordinator for Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries network.

The store, in the Walmart and Dollar Tree plaza on Mahoning Avenue, has a variety of different items from housewares to clothing and furniture. While most of the stuff is donated, they do offer brand new merchandise.

"We are actually just getting all of our new goods for Halloween and Fall items as well so we have a variety of different things people can come and shop for," Telesc said.

And by shopping at the Goodwill, you're helping the non-profit's programs that expand employment and get special job training for people with disabilities.

"They can work throughout our different area locations everywhere ranging from Greenville, PA down to Calcutta, even here in Austintown or we help supply them with job training to help them get the appropriate type of jobs that they would like to get elsewhere and grow their skills," Telesc said.

Donations are accepted during regular store hours, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Just go to the back of the building to drop off your donations.
