Salem Regional Medical Center Foundation is hosting its 2nd annual Pink Out at the Farm breast cancer awareness event at Firestone Farms TownCenter on Saturday night.

The event is part of special events and benefits for patients throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. It will feature live music, entertainment and food for attendees from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Walk-in hours for women who are interested in mammogram screenings can stop in to SRMC's Imaging Center at Firestone Farms on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. SRMC says no appointment or physician order is needed for walk-in mammograms and financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Those who are screened during October will be eligible for prizes from SRMC.

"We're excited to partner with Firestone Farms in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise funds for our world-class cancer care services at SRMC," said Amy Reed, SRMC Director of Development. "Members of the community are invited to come out and visit participating Firestone Farms businesses for a variety of special promotions and activities throughout the afternoon and evening."

Special luminaries to honor breast cancer patients will be displayed on the TownCenter clock tower at the conclusion of Pink Out at the Farm.
