WARREN, Ohio - A grand jury in Trumbull County has indicted a Southington man on five charges associated with a deadly hit-and-run accident in Niles.

James Markley, 44, faces arraignment Thursday on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, failure to stop after an accident, two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence, and tampering with evidence.

Investigators say Markley was driving a vehicle that struck 31-year-old Diana St. Julian of Cortland at around 3 a.m. on October 10 near North Main and Federal Streets.

The victim was rushed to Trumbull Memorial Hospital where she later died.

According to the crash report, Markley's blood alcohol content was .198. Troopers also suspect that marijuana and other drugs may have been a factor.
