Harbor Freight Tools has issued a recall on its Pittsburgh Automotive Pneumatic Roller Seats due to a falling hazard.

According to Harbor Freight, the connection from the seat to the seat post can break, which poses a falling hazard for consumers.

Approximately 478,800 seats were recalled total. To find out if your product is affected by this recall, check the product registration number, which can be found on the white label at the bottom of the storage tray.

Products with the registration number CA-44417 are affected by this recall. The item number is printed on the front of the storage tray. Products with the following item numbers and UPC numbers are affected by this recall:

-61896 UPC: 792363618960

- 46319 UPC: 193175340764

-63456 UPC: 792363634564

Any consumers who have purchased a recalled seat should stop using the product immediately and return it to their nearest Harbor Freight store for a free replacement or a full refund in the form of a gift card.

If you are unable to return to a Harbor Freight store in person, call the toll free consumer hotline at 800-638-8270 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to request a prepaid return shipping label for a replacement or a refund.

A total of 96 reports of seats breaking including 10 reports of minor injuries including bruises from falling out of the seat.

Recalled products were sold online and at Harbor Freight stores between July of 2014 and September of 2021.
