YOUNGSTOWN - Drivers will have some road work to maneuver around in Niles beginning this week.

East Federal Street and Salt Springs Road are set to be repaved as part of a citywide street resurfacing program.

Starting Wednesday, August 17th, both streets will be closed to thru traffic. They will remain open to local traffic and emergency vehicles.

It's expected to take 30 days to complete, barring any delays due to inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions.

The city asks drivers to take extreme caution when driving through construction zones and to expect delays. They also ask drivers to completely avoid the construction zone during normal work hours.
