HOWLAND, Ohio - A Howland teen convicted of raping a woman is back in the Trumbull County jail as of Wednesday.

In August, 19-year-old Larry Dirando pled guilty to two counts of rape and was scheduled to be sentenced last Wednesday but never showed up. A warrant for his arrest was issued soon after this.

Dirando was originally arrested in June of 2021 and held on a $1 million bond for a rape that took place in May of 2021 in Weathersfield Township. After his indictment, this bond was reduced to $50,000.

Once the arrest warrant was issued, the Judge Wyatt McKay granted the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office's request for Dirando's bond to be revoked.

According to jail records, Dirando is currently charged with four counts of rape.
