YOUNGSTOWN - Tickets for the Youngstown State Department of Art Ceramics Program's Empty Bowls YSU event go on sale today. 

Money from every ticket bought for the event goes directly to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley. 

At the event, guests will receive a bowl of soup with artisan bread by locally owned restaurants and select a handmade bowl created by local art students, faculty and alumni to take home. 

The event will also include a fine art raffle to raise additional funds for the Rescue Mission. 

The event takes place Saturday, December 3 at 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the John J. McDonough Museum of Art.
