CAMPBELL, Ohio - A couple charged for keeping a 300+ pound pig in what police described as "dungeon-like" conditions was sentenced in the Campbell Municipal Court on Friday.

Twenty-seven-year-old Shawn Kline and 36-year-old Cortney Kline pled guilty on amended charges of Cruelty to Companion Animals and were sentenced to 90 days in jail with 60 of those days being suspended.

In addition, the couple is not allowed to own pets for five years. A $500 fine for the couple was suspended due to being indigent.

The cruelty charges stem from an incident from July of 2022 when police found the pig, identified as Oreo in a "dungeon-like" basement.

It took six people to get the pig out of the basement and the pig had to be rolled on a stretcher and carried outside.
