YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown man accused of kidnapping a man and robbing him at knifepoint has been indicted in the Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas on Thursday.

Forty-nine-year-old Tim Miller was indicted on several charges including one count of kidnapping, one count of robbery, one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, one count of possessing criminal tools and one count of aggravated possession of drugs.

According to the indictment, Miller is a "repeat violent offender" with him previously being charged for aggravated robbery in a Stark County court in 1997 and bank robbery in the Northern District Court of Ohio in 2011.

These charges stemmed from an incident that occurred in Boardman in December of 2022 where police Miller asked an acquaintance for a ride back to his hotel, followed by robbing him at knifepoint, tying him up in the back of the vehicle and driving off.

Police say at one point, when the victim asked Miller if he was going to kill him, he replied, "Not if you behave."
