Erin Brockovich, environmentalist and public health and safety advocate, is calling for the Biden Administration to do more for the residents of East Palestine following the train derailment and warning the village's residents to trust their instincts.

In a Twitter thread posted by Brockovich Monday night, she writes, "The Biden administration needs to get more involved in this #PalestineOhio train derailment now. We are counting on you to break the chain of administration after administration to turn a blind eye."

She also highlights the dichotomy between EPA officials saying the air and water quality in East Palestine is fine while hazardous pollutants were released into the environment through a controlled burn Feb. 6.

She is telling residents to trust their instincts and band together to demand answers.

Residents will have a chance to get answers at a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

According to the Wander Women Project, Brockovich is known for revealing that Pacific Gas and Electric had contaminated groundwater in Hinkley, CA for at least 30 years.

Over 600 residents filed a lawsuit against PG&E after it was released that the chemical hexavalent chromium caused severe illness in almost every Hinkley home.

In the end, PG&E was required to pay $333 million to those affected by the pollution.

Her story became popularized by the film Erin Brockovich which was released in 2000.
