YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Newly-filed court documents have shed even more light on the murder of four-year-old Rowan Sweeney of Struthers in 2020.

According to a Bill of Particulars filed on February 24, the DNA of then 17-year-old Brandon Crump was found on spent shell casings from the night of the murder.

In addition, the document states that investigations were conducted on cell phone records from Crump, as well as the other two suspects, Kimonie Bryant and Andre McCoy.

These investigations revealed text messages between McCoy and Bryant from the approximate time of the shooting indicating the planning of the crime.

These cell phone records also revealed that Bryant and Crump were together in the general vicinity of the location of the crime around the time it took place, and videos retrieved from Crump's cell phone showed him in possession of large quantities of cash on the day of the crime.

The document also references "incriminating text messages" between McCoy and a woman named Cassandra Mariscola.

Previous coverage from 21 News says that Mariscola, along with McCoy and victims, Alexis Schneider and Yarnell Green were shot at the scene of the crime.

In November of 2022, the trial against Bryant was halted while DNA results were being awaited. Those results eventually did come in December, but this is the first time they have been released to the public.

Bryant's is scheduled back in court for a pretrial hearing on March 22, Crump is scheduled for March 29 and McCoy is scheduled back for a jury trial on March 6.
