Austintown's former 'Bill's Place' turning into a bakery, breakfast, lunch, coffee shop

A once-popular watering hole in Austintown is getting a new life as a different kind of bar.
Abigail's Bakery Creations has partnered with Canfield’s JR Grinder, and Marlowe’s Premium Coffee to turn the former Bill’s Place into a bakery, breakfast, lunch, and coffee shop.
Renovation is underway of the former bar that closed five years ago near the Marc’s on Idaho Road near Mahoning Avenue with completion targeted for the end of March.
Plans are for the place to open at 7 a.m. each day offering breakfast, to-go cakes, pies, cheesecakes, as well as each being sold by the slice.
There will also be a sit-down coffee bar including bar stools.
In addition, curbside pickup will be offered at the side of the building.
The menu will include breakfast sandwiches, wraps, coffee cake, spanakopita, brownies, muffins, baked donuts, and other deserts.
The lunch menu includes grinders, sloppy joes, mac and cheese.
