The Youngstown State men's basketball team came up short against Oklahoma State in the first round of the NIT, 69-64.

The Penguins were ahead 37-33 at halftime and held the lead for over 29 minutes in the game.

However, the Cowboys outscored YSU 36-27 in the second half and out-rebounded the Penguins 49-34 in the game.

Dwayne Cohill lead YSU with 25 points in the loss, while Brandon Rush added 12.

The Penguins finish the season with a 24-10 overall record, Horizon League regular season champions and with their first NIT appearance.
