A trial has been scheduled later this month for the long-delayed case of a pilot charged for allegedly flying too close to the YSU stadium during a Penguins home game more than three years ago.

Youngstown Municipal Court Judge Carla Baldwin has set an April 26 trial date for Christopher Wilkinson who is charged with inducing panic, disorderly conduct, and improper operation of an aircraft after authorities say his small plane flew near the home crowd in September 2019.

The judge has set an April 21 deadline for Wilkinson to change his plea in the case.

This is the fourth time the case has been rescheduled,

The proceedings against Wilkinson are continuing after Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Sharon Kennedy rejected a request by a defense attorney to have Judge Baldwin remove herself from hearing the case.
