A Niles man has pled guilty in court on Wednesday to sending obscene videos to minors.

According to a press release, 30-year-old Philip Manfredi pled guilty to a charge of disseminating material harmful to juveniles. The charge stems from an incident from early 2023 where police say Manfredi sent an obscene video to a minor.

The content of the video was not disclosed, but Niles Police Captain John Marshall previously told 21 News Manfredi had been on police's radar for at least a year when a similar case was reported out of western Pennsylvania in January of 2022.

According to the release, Manfredi will be sentenced after he undergoes a background investigation conducted by probation officers.
