Niles man suspected of sending obscene video to minors
A Niles man remains jailed on $100,000 bond after being arrested on a charge of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
Thirty-year-old Philip Manfredi was arrested Wednesday at his Robbins Avenue apartment and booked into the county jail.
According to police report, Manfredi allegedly sent an obscene video to a minor last week.
Manfredi did not enter a plea during his arraignment in Niles Municipal Court on Wednesday. Another court hearing is set for next Wednesday.
Niles Police Captain John Marshall tells 21 News that they’ve been investigating Manfredi for over a year since January 2022, when a similar case was reported in Western Pennsylvania.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification is reviewing evidence in the case. Marshall says more charges could follow.
