Former Austintown bar now serves up desserts

AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - A once-popular watering hole in Austintown is starting a new life serving baked goods, cakes, and pies.
Abigail's Bakery Creations opens its doors on Tuesday to customers at the site of the former Bill's Place at Mahoning Avenue and Idaho Road, near Marcs.
Renovation is complete, turning the former bar that closed five years ago into a bakery, breakfast, lunch, and coffee shop.
Abigails offers to-go cakes, pies, baklava, and cheesecakes.
There are booths, tables, couches, and almost 40 stools including a sit-down coffee bar.
In addition, they will make reservations for a rental space that can hold 225 people with Foosball, dartboards, couches, and a private space.
In addition, curbside pickup is available at the side of the building.
The menu includes coffee cake, brownies, muffins, baked donuts, and other desserts.
Open this week Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m., the grand opening will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The regular hours will be Tuesday - Saturday 7 am to 4 pm.
