Former NFL & YSU kicker Jeff Wilkins helping special teams at Mount Union

Mahoning Valley native Jeff Wilkins is in his first year as an assistant coach at Mount Union, helping with special teams, for the 2023 season.
Wilkins was one of the top place kickers in the National Football League during his 14-year professional career. He won Super Bowl XXXIV with “The Greatest Show on Turf" the St. Louis Rams in the 1999 season, scoring 11 points in the 23-16 win over Tennessee. Wilkins was voted to the 2003 Pro Bowl as a member of the NFC team.
The most prolific kicker and scorer in Youngstown State University football history, Wilkins was inducted into to YSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003. Wiklins was part of two national championships (1991 and 1993), and a runner-up in 1992, and set multiple school records.
Before joining the Penguins in 1990, Wilkins was an all-state kicker for Austintown Fitch High School.
