HERMITAGE, Pa. - An arrest warrant has been issued for a Hermitage woman accused of endangering children after Fentanyl was found in a two-year-old boy's system.

According to a criminal complaint, police were dispatched to a home on the 1400 Block of Parke Drive on August 27 for a two-year-old who was unconscious and being taken to the hospital.

Upon arrival, police say they observed a rectangular multicolored dish on the living room floor suspected to contain Marijuana with a blue straw next to it. Future test results on the bowl revealed the presence of THC.

Hospital staff told police that the victim responded to naloxone and threw up shortly after it was administered.

Police conducted a search warrant on the home where in addition to the previously mentioned dish and straw, police found a bottle of Clondine with the name ripped off the label, a baggie missing both corners and a digital scale.

Police then spoke to the boy's mother, identified as 26-year-old Qytirah Clarke who told officers she was outside playing with her son and took him to the bathroom where he got toothpaste in his eye.

Clarke told police she wiped the toothpaste out of the boy's eyes and soon afterward, he "fell out" with Clarke stating that he could not stand and became unresponsive.

When police told Clarke that her son was responding to Narcan and asked her how he was exposed to drugs, she told officers she did not know stating that the only drug she has in her apartment is Marijuana, which she only smokes on occasion.

Police say Clarke declined when asked if she would take a blood draw test for drugs.

On Tuesday, September 5, toxicology reports showed that the child tested positive for Fentanyl in addition to THC. A warrant was then issued for Clarke's arrest with charges of Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
