Youngstown police arrest Ashtabula man accused of pulling gun on WRTA security guard

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown police officers arrested a man who they say pulled a gun on a WRTA security guard.
Police responded to a scene on Front Street in Downtown Youngstown shortly before 9:00 a.m. where they located the man identified as 46-year-old Jonathan Peek of Ashtabula (pictured below).

According to a police report, while responding to the call regarding a man with a gun at the WRTA office, officers observed Peek at the intersection of Vindicator Square and Front Street yell something at them.
Upon arriving at the bus station, police spoke to the security guard who told officers she was trying to tell Peek about the trespassing list, when he allegedly became hostile, pulling out a silver revolver and threatening to kill her.
Police say security camera video revealed Peek to be the man who had yelled at officers previously.
According to the report, police returned to Peek and told him to put his hands up. Police say he was not compliant, only putting one hand up while keeping the other in his pocket.
Eventually, police say Peek took off his coat and shirt before eventually complying with officer's orders. After Peek was placed under arrest, police say they found the previously mentioned revolver in his coat pocket.
Police say the weapon was loaded with five empty shell casings.
Peek is currently in the Mahoning County Jail where he's facing charges of Aggravated Menacing and Having Weapons While Under Disability.
