The suspect in the murder of a 40-year-old man in Lisbon in March of 2023 has entered a guilty plea on Thursday.

According to court employees, 32-year-old Michael Blower pled guilty to one count of unclassified murder with firearm specifications.

The charge stems from the March 3 shooting death of 40-year-old Rusty Steele on West Spruce Street in Lisbon. According to an affidavit, Blower and Steele were arguing over the phone prior to the incident.

Police say Blower got a ride to Lisbon where he shot Steele in the chest. Police also say Blower's wife gave him the gun that was used in the crime.

According to Lisbon Police Chief, Mike Abraham, the two parties had a relationship with the same woman at different points in their lives.

In addition to Blower, 43-year-old Christopher Mills is charged with obstruction of justice in this case. At this time, he has not entered a plea. His next hearing is scheduled for February 1 and a jury trial is scheduled to begin February 12.

As for Blower, he's due back in court for sentencing on March 22.
