WARREN, Ohio - A Warren convicted of the shooting death of a woman back in March of last year has been handed a sentence of eight to ten years in prison.

The sentence was issued to 20-year-old Jamarr Jenkins during Tuesday’s hearing in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Jenkins pleaded guilty earlier to first-degree involuntary manslaughter, second-degree felonious assault, and third-degree endangering children.

The case surrounds the March 26, 2023, shooting death of 43-year-old Ruby Sanchez, who was found at her Hampshire House apartment.

The case also involved the incident where a 2-year-old boy shot himself in the hand the same day as the Sanchez shooting, according to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office.
