A woman is dead after a work-related injury at a septic tank company in Kinsman on Friday.

According to the Mahoning County Coroner's Office, 37-year-old Jennifer Plant was killed while working at the McGill Septic Tank Company in Kinsman on Friday.

She was taken to a Mahoning County hospital where she died of "work-related crushing injuries." OSHA Deputy Director of Public Affairs Rhonda Burke tells 21 News these injuries stemmed from the Plant being pinned between a semi-trailer and a forklift.

An autopsy will be conducted and the incident remains under investigation by the Mahoning County Coroner's Office, the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Burke tells us OSHA has six months to complete its investigation, issue citations and propose monetary penalties if any workplace violations are found over the course of the investigation.
