Youngstown Foundation announces $380,000 in grants for various Valley non-profits

Youngstown & Mahoning Valley - The Youngstown Foundation has announced $380,000 in new grants on Tuesday.
Among these grans is a $100,000 grant for the Inspiring Minds Youth Enrichment Program, which provides after-school and summer enrichment programs to students in the Youngstown and Warren areas.
The programs focus on education, college and career readiness, health and wellness, personal development and exposure to new experiences.
Other grants announced include $75,000 for the YWCA of the Mahoning Valley for an affordable housing project on Youngstown's north side.
The funds will support the renovation of a building on Illinois Avenue to create six new apartments including one accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Seven other non-profits received grants as well. A complete list of grants can be found below.
- Autism Society ($50,000 for Camp FRIEND)
- Northeast Ohio Adoption ($50,000 for building diverse support for foster youth)
- Kool Boiz Foundation ($30,000 for Promising Men's Mentoring)
- Nikki's House ($30,000 for recovery housing)
- AxessPointe Health Centers ($20,000 for the Veterans Haven Housing Project)
- Junior Achievement ($20,000 for K-12 Pathways)
- Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio ($5,000 for Girl Scout Journeys in Youngstown)
