Troopers seek driver after 100 mph chase through Mahoning County with a baby in his truck

State Troopers are looking for the driver who led them on a high-speed chase through Mahoning County with his baby riding in his pickup truck.
Speeds reached 100 mph after the Patrol tried to pull the pickup truck over on Interstate 80 in Austintown at around 12:30 a.m. Monday.
The pursuit continued west onto I-76 until the truck turned around and headed back toward Youngstown, swerving between lanes according to Troopers.
Youngstown Police had joined the chase on I-680 when a dispatcher got a call from a woman claiming that her 1-year-old child was in the truck being driven by the baby’s father.
Troopers ended the high-speed chase but kept the truck in sight as it exited I-680 on Western Reserve Road and followed it at a safe distance into Youngstown’s Southside.
Concerned for the welfare of the infant, Troopers stopped following the truck and found out later that the driver had met with the mother and turned the child over to her unharmed.
Troopers say they know who was driving the truck and expect to arrest him later.
