YOUNGSTOWN - The building at Grace Evangelistic Temple Church in Youngtown has become a hub of help for the community. But the building is now in need of some serious repairs that deal with damage and flooding.

Church leaders recently met with fourth ward city councilman Mike Ray, to discuss their urgent need for financial help to fix areas throughout the building.

According to Bishop C.M. Jenkins Sr., the building has been hit with water damage in the basement and broken pipes underground.

The bishop told 21 News vital community programs in their resource center, like AA meetings and afterschool and housing programs, have been disrupted for the past six months.

Councilman Ray wants to first assess the building for ADA compliant upgrades, but he said he is open to helping them find funding sources.
