A plea hearing has been set for a Goshen Township dog breeder accused of taking payments for puppies she never provided.

Court records show a plea hearing has been set for February 25 for 40-year-old April Waidman who is currently facing over five dozen charges including 45 felony theft charges and 26 misdemeanor theft charges.

32 charges were initially filed in April of 2024 and 39 more were filed in June of that same year.

It is unclear if any charges will be dropped or amended as a result of this plea.

Waidman was originally charged after several criminal and civil suits were filed against her after people from the Mahoning Valley and beyond accused her of taking money but never delivering their puppies.

Those cases add up to over $106,000 allegedly taken from would-be dog owners.

21 News will update this story once details of the plea are revealed.
