The Mahoning County Convention & Visitors Bureau is excitedly announcing a change in its tourism and branding efforts with the unveiling of its new identity: Explore Mahoning.

This change will mark a shift from their previous name, "Youngstown Live," reflecting a broader and more inclusive representation of everything Mahoning County has to offer.

While the formal Convention and Visitors Bureau designation will still be used within the industry, the transition to Explore Mahoning aligns with a growing trend among tourism promotion agencies to adopt brand identities that are modern, relatable and visitor-friendly .

The rebranding will include an updated logo, refreshed messaging, progressive brand positioning and a modernized color and font palette.

"This rebrand represents an exciting new chapter for Mahoning County," said Megan Magnetta, Executive Director of Explore Mahoning.

She continued, "we've taken a thoughtful approach to better capture the spirit and energy of all parts of our community. Explore Mahoning isn't just a name, it's an invitation to experience everything our county has to offer."

The launch of Explore Mahoning will be released in CVB's 2025 travel guide, which serves as the cornerstone of the rebranding initiative.

Visitors and residents can look forward to refreshed marketing materials, including a refreshed website, brochures focusing on key attractions such as outdoor adventures, antiques, wineries/breweries and golf, as well as dynamic digital marketing campaigns and impactful print advertisements.

Tourism accounts for a total economic impact of over $1 billion in Mahoning County.
