Community Connection holds Health Awareness Fair in downtown Warren

Community Connection, a youth-serving non-profit based out of Warren held its first Health Awareness Fair in downtown Warren Saturday.
The event was held at the old YWCA building in Warren and offered various screenings from 22 different health organizations like Mercy Health, Akron Children's, as well as a basket raffle.
Community Connection CEO Satora Johnson tells 21 News this event aimed to cover every capacity of the importance of maintaining health, exercise and relaxation.
"Community Connection along with the collaboration of other non-profit organizations ... we've all teamed together to reach back and give to our community to serve in a way that can provide health, revitalization, restoration and to let the community know that we truly care and there are individuals that are really serving within the community," Johnson said.
Johnson added that Community Connection has several more events planned for the future including a financial fitness event for youth on Friday, May 2 at the Warren Public Library.
