Meteorologist - We are seeking a meteorologist for WFMJ-TV, the NBC affiliate in Youngstown, Ohio. This is a full-time position at a family-owned station! Being locally owned (one of the very few!) has its perks, including very fair compensation and excellent benefits. The cost of living in our area is relatively low compared to many places, and Youngstown has a lot to offer, including one of the largest and best metropolitan parks in the country. We are also just an hour from Pittsburgh and Cleveland. We have WSI Max, which includes all the bells and whistles, such as Studio, Storm, Maximum Earth, and Engage. We also have a network of live cameras, which is a great tool. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and those in small to medium-sized markets seeking to make a significant leap forward. If you have any MMJ experience and/or are willing to learn how to do some reporting a couple of days a week, that is a big plus. Multi-Media Journalist – Want to work in a fast-paced news town covering big-city stories? Part-Time News Videographer - 21 WFMJ Youngstown, Ohio, has an immediate part-time news videographer opening. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, shooting news event videos independently and as part of a team with a news reporter, editing videos under tight deadlines, and setting up and operating microwave live trucks and portable backpack live units. The candidate will shoot still photographs for use on the station's various social media platforms. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. It will average 24 to 29 hours per week. Competitive pay. A valid driver's license is required. Applicant must be able to legally and safely operate a motor vehicle in accordance with applicable driving rules and regulations. Some travel may be necessary.
