Missing man from Niles found safe Thursday night

According to the alert, 68-year-old Edward Joseph Janik was last seen at 11:53 a.m. walking along Niles Vienna Roa

NILES, Ohio - The Niles Police Department located a man that went missing around noon Thursday.

According to the alert, 68-year-old Edward Joseph Janik was last seen at 11:53 a.m. walking along Niles Vienna Road.

Janik suffers from depression and law enforcement believed he could have been reacting to his new depression medicine at the time.

According to Niles Police dispatchers, Janik was found alive and safe Thursday night.
