Family members of slain Niles police officer want parole denied for his killers

NILES, Ohio - Relatives of slain Niles police officer John Utlak are fighting to keep his killers behind bars.

Patrolman Utlak was gunned down by two men in 1982.

Utlak's family members have started an online petition to deny parole to the two men convicted of the crime.

Randy Fellows and Fred Joseph Junior were sentenced to 30 years to life. They have parole hearings scheduled for October.
