Sheely's first-quarter fundraising event has raised more than $16,000 for Veterans Outreach, a non-profit that helps veterans in Ohio, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, New York, and West Virginia.

Sheely’s management presented a $16,035.06 check to Veterans Outreach at Sheely’s North Lima location on Tuesday.

The fundraising event was held at both the Aurora and North Lima locations. Sheely’s provided matching funds for every donation received and offered customers who donated a 7.5% discount on qualifying purchases.

“Veterans Outreach fills such a crucial need in our community. Sheely’s was proud to support them with this fundraising drive,” says owner Jessica Smith. “In our 70 plus years in business in the region, giving back to our community is always a priority for us. And who could be more worthy of our support than our brave service members and their families?”

Veterans Outreach offers programs and aid to veterans through its Direct Aid Program, the Heroes’ Closet Program, the Freedom Food Pantry Program, and the Outreach Program.
