A warrant has been issued for the former caretaker of a 99-year-old Brookfield man after she failed to appear for her scheduled court hearing on Tuesday.

According to court records, 35-year-old Felicia Splitstone was scheduled to appear in the Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas on Tuesday, April 23 for a pretrial hearing.

However, a capias warrant was issued after she failed to show.

Splitstone is currently facing charges of theft from a protected class, receiving stolen property and forgery stemming from her allegedly forging her client's signature on checks from his checkbook and cashing them without his knowledge.

Additionally, Splitstone is accused of making fraudulent charges on her client's credit cards without his knowledge or permission. In total, Splitstone is accused of stealing $9,899.04 from her client.
