Tomorrow flags will be lowered to half-staff honoring the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

Gov. Mike DeWine has issued the order, which will impact national flags at every public building and grounds throughout the entire state of Ohio.

This is in accordance with orders given by President Joe Biden, according to a news release from DeWine's office.

Flags will be lowered from sunrise to sunset on May 5.

The National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service is being held tomorrow in Maryland.

The ceremony includes the placing of a Presidential Wreath at the monument and dedication of a plaque honoring those who died in the line-of-duty during the previous year, according to a website dedicated to the service.

The first plaque was placed on the Wall with the names of firefighters who died in the line-of-duty during 2004.
