YOUNGSTOWN - A man who was accused of wielding a sword and threatening employees at the Michael Kusalaba Library last summer has been caught nearly eight months later.

According to a police report, police arrested 42-year-old Dominic Jackson on a warrant for allegedly inducing panic on Thursday, March 5.

The charge and warrant stem from an incident that occurred at the Michael Kusalaba Library on Mahoning Avenue in July of 2025, when police say a male suspect was wielding a sword in the building.

Police said library staff asked the man to leave, but he started making threats before eventually leaving and throwing his sword in the grass. Police said the man was later found and taken into custody at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County's main branch on Wick Avenue.

Court records show the inducing panic charge was filed on August 21. Jackson is set to be arraigned on the afternoon of Friday, March 6
