YSU spring game tickets and tailgating passes now on sale
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown State athletic department is selling tailgating passes and tickets for the April 16 Red-White Spring Football Game. Tailgating passes are $15 each and will be presale only. This marks the second straight season that YSU will have tailgating prior to the Spring Game. To purchase tailgate passes contact the Athletic Ticket Office at (330) 941-1978.
The contest is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 at Stambaugh Stadium. The M-24 Tailgate Lot will open at 8 a.m. and fans will have four hours to tailgate prior to the contest.
Only 200 passes will be sold and as of Friday, April 1, nearly 100 have been purchased. Two game tickets must also be purchased with a tailgate parking pass. The cost of each ticket is $5 and seating is general admission in the West stands only.
During the contest, the Athletic Ticket Office will be open allowing fans to purchase season tickets or for current season-ticket holders to renew for the upcoming 2011 slate. YSU has home Missouri Valley Football Conference games against Illinois State, South Dakota State, Western Illinois and Missouri State. YSU has non-confernece home games against Valpariso and Saint Francis (Pa.).
Season-ticket packages for the six games are $84 for reserved seats and $60 for general admission. Individual game tickets will go on sale to the general public in August.
The Penguins are one-third of the way through Spring Drills with 10 practices remaining before today and April 16. YSU returns to the gridiron for practice number six this afternoon.
News and Notes: YSU's game time at Southern Illinois has been announced for 2 p.m. Central/3 p.m. Eastern time. The Penguins will hold a scrimmage on Saturday morning at approximately 10 a.m. The YSU coaching staff is taking reservations for their annual Women's Coaching Clinic which is set for Friday, April 15 on the night prior to the Spring Game.
