Valley motorcycle club helps kids at Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley
BOARDMAN, Ohio - A Trumbull County motorcycle club is making it a little easier for kids who are admitted to Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley.
With money raised from two events, the V-Twin Cruisers Club was able to purchase 500 stuffed animals and 575 coloring books and crayon sets.
The club donated them to the hospital on Saturday afternoon. "We saw the program you guys did on 21 News and we rolled from there. We heard that the hospital needed items for the kids," said Ed Salus, V-Twin Cruisers Club.
Brett Taylor from the V-Twin Cruisers Club said the group raised about 700 dollars. He said the membership director did some research online and found some really good deals so they could get more for their money.
The V-Twin Cruisers Motorcycle club is made up of 36 members. The group supports many charities throughout the Valley.
