JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A Youngstown woman staged an anti-fracking protest near a drilling site in Jackson Township on Saturday afternoon.
FreeFrackMahoning released this picture, along with a press release which states that Maria Montanez laid down in the road blocking trucks carrying fracking equipment from turning onto Blott Road from South Bailey at around 5:00 p.m.
The release says that Montanez was arrested by Jackson Township police.
Police so far have not responded to calls for confirmation.
The release indicates Montanez was concerned about the so called Cadle well because it is being drilled in the Drinking Water Source Protection Area of the Meander Reservoir; a major source of drinking water for the Youngstown area.
