Search suspended for canoeist missing in Stoneboro Lake

STONEBORO, Pa. - Rescuers have suspended their search for a man who has been missing since the canoe he was in capsized.
Search efforts on Friday and Saturday turned up no sign of the 29-year old Sandy Lake man who along with two others fell into the water when the canoe overturned around 4:00 a.m. Friday.
A man and a woman were able to make it to shore. Officials don't believe the man is alive. Stoneboro Fire Chief Richard Reither says the other victims claim the man attempted to swim back to shore, but he was having trouble and didn't make it.
The Pennsylvania State Marine Division used sonar camera to scan Stoneboro lake.
Reither says it's possible the search could continue on Monday, but he's waiting to see if any tips or signs of the man's whereabouts surface.
